Craven Events

A new group called Arts @ Christ Church is setting up to programme events, workshops and other activities into the church in Skipton (near Tesco's). There isn't a community art space in Skipton but with the refit of the church there is a great potential for developing one. Volunteers are most welcome and you don't have to be a Christian to be involved - the arts events are not Christian based.         

The stimulus for the group is that Christ Church has had a complete refit. All the pews have been removed, the church now has a semi sprung floor with underfloor heating and has been repainted white. It's still a consecrated space, but the acoustics are superb and the size of the venue really lends itself to a wide range of arts activities.
