Information Sheet: Marketing: Branding

Every event should have a recognisable 'brand' so people know immediately what they are getting.

The brand should embody the core values of the organisation and event. It should state clearly what makes this event/organisation unique (USP)

The brand should be instantly recognisable and consistent on all printed matter and advertising. This doesn't mean that all leaflets banners, ads etc. have to be identical but they should work together to enhance the brand giving the same kind of message. The brand should embody the customers' expectations and beliefs about your organisation/event.
